Arnold Family Walk








MELBOURNE! Join Arnold Schwarzenegger for the inaugural Arnold Classic Family Walk on Sunday 19th March at Federation Square in Melbourne.  Get there early, as we’ll be taking off at 9.15am for a 4km walk around some of Melbourne’s stunning parklands, before arriving at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre for the Arnold Classic Expo*.

The Arnold Classic is the world’s biggest multi sports festival – as Arnold in Predator would say “DO IT!”

*Only those who have registered for the Arnold Classic Family Walk will be granted access to the Arnold Classic Expo, those who have not registered will need to purchase their own ticket at the venue, which is subject to availability.

Event Check In/Registration – from 8:00am

Arnold’s Opening Address – 9:00am

Walk Commences –9:15am

Registration desk closes – 9:30am


Online ticket purchases:

Please sign in at the registration desk located on the main plaza of Federation Square from 8:00am. We recommended signing in earlier to avoid the hustle and bustle.

On the Day ticket purchases:

Online ticket sales close on Friday 17 March 2017 at 4pm AEST. Tickets may be purchased on event day (Sunday 19 March 2017) at the registration desk located on the main plaza of Federation Square from 8:00am onwards.



What should I wear?

  • Comfortable walking/running shoes
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Bring a rain coat if wet weather is predicted

We recommend that you pack lightly because bag drop/cloak room facilities are not available. 


How do I get to Federation Square (the meeting point) via public transport?

Federation Square is across the road from Flinders Street Station and can be easily reached by train, tram, bus, bike and car.

Where can I park my car?

Please be mindful that the Arnold Classic Family Walk route starts at Federation Square and concludes at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. We recommend that you plan ahead and nominate a suitable parking location along the route for convenience. Some options include:


Where are toilets located?

Federation Square: Accessible public toilets and baby-change facilities are located in The Square, next to Time Out, and in The Atrium. Many onsite cafes and restaurants also have toilets available for customer use.

Along the route: public toilets are located at the following locations

  • Birrarung Marr on Batman Avenue near the 1km mark
  • Birrarung Marr near Art Center near the 2km mark

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre: Accessible public toilets are located within the centre.

Where are water stations located?

A water station is located around the 2km mark of the walk at Birrarung Marr Park.

Are there ATM’s available/Can I pay on EFTPOS? 

Yes, there are two Commonwealth Bank ATM’s located at Federation Square next to 7/11, and EFTPOS facilities are available at the Registration Marquee.
